The Children’s Cancer Caring Center STAR OF LIFE AWARD is presented to donors who have contributed or raised for the benefit of the CCCC a minimum of One Million Dollars, in recognition of their immeasurable reverence for life, and their philanthropy and humanitarianism.
The exquisite bronze trophy, sculpted by the late Dr. Josephine Hurst exclusively for the CCCC, stands over 25″ tall and depicts a child, afflicted by cancer, having great hope and determination in catching a shooting star, which represents the promise of life.
It is the energy, light and power of the glowing golden star that symbolizes the award recipient.
